Assignment allowance according to the regulations on management assignments

For those who have assignments as vice-rector, dean, vice-dean, deputy dean, head of department, deputy head of department or director, an assignment supplement is paid according to the Regulations on management assignments at Lund University, STYR 2018/1070.

The assignment supplement constitutes compensation for the special responsibility associated with the management assignment, and the special tasks resulting from the assignment must be included in the annual working hours.

Only two management posts can be held in the same period. In the event that two assignments are held simultaneously, the lower assignment allowance is halved.

Assignment supplement for directors of studies/equivalent and other assignments

The Faculty Board is authorised to make decisions on assignment supplements for directors of studies/equivalent.

There may also be assignment supplements for other assignments than the above, but these are applied very restrictively and only after a decision by the Faculty Board.

Repatriation or supplements

Some management functions are entitled to so-called repatriation after a completed assignment in order to resume previous duties. In some cases, certain supplements may also be paid. Whether repatriation is paid is specified in the individual manager's contract and the supplementary allowance is regulated in the Regulations on Management Assignments.
